“Implicit bias”

Client- NYU McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research

Cary Janks- Animation and Design

Jonny Taylor/Beacon AV Lab- Sound

About the Project- I was tasked with creating a series of informative, character-driven spots to illustrate several social issues that don’t get the attention or understanding they deserve. Initially my client was looking for traditional 2D animated characters to act out the story, however I really wanted to explore using 3D characters and thought that the idea of making them feel like stop-motion miniatures would give them an endearing and friendly appeal.

Sofware- Maya, After Effects, Rokoko Studio (facial motion capture), 12fps
